In the timeless city of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendia family travel through love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny, creating props and scenery for the series. in Spanish. Its style is unparalleled, and its scale is beyond imagination. His characters are so well drawn that any screenwriter could easily write them for the screen. But, it would seem, an insurmountable problem when adapting the novel was its length. To condense a hundred years of family and national history was an impossible task. Almost 60 years after its publication, the novel has found a cinematic home on Netflix. Only streaming can do it justice, and the first two episodes are really promising. Excellent photography, art direction and respect for the characters. The voiceover is necessary for the beautiful prose of García Márquez to appear from time to time. The plot develops smoothly, richly and deeply. I like it, and I was a little skeptical that the magical world of GGM could be transferred to the screen.
